Press Tack Needles

Press tack needles are very small acupuncture needles fixed onto an adhesive plaster.

They are designed to stay on the skin for 1–3 days, providing continuous and gentle stimulation to acupuncture points.

Effects / Benefits

        •        Relieve muscle tension and pain

        •        Promote blood circulation and tissue healing

        •        Calm the nervous system (stress, insomnia)

Common Indications

        •        Neck, shoulder, back pain

        •        Trigger points, muscle knots

        •        Insomnia, stress, anxiety

        •        Allergic rhinitis, hay fever (ear points)

        •        Menstrual pain

 Precautions for Press Tack Needles

        •        Keep the area clean and dry; avoid excessive sweating or long hot showers.

        •        Do not scratch or peel the plaster.

        •        Mild soreness or pressure sensation is normal; strong pain is not.

        •        If redness, itching, or irritation occurs, remove the press tack immediately.

        •        Do not press or rub the needle area repeatedly.

        •        Avoid MRI or other imaging tests while press tacks are in place.

        •        Remove the needle after 1–3 days or sooner if uncomfortable.
